DailyArt is a simple and straightforward app. Every day a different piece of art is highlighted with some background information. Previous entries are stored in the archive and can be sorted by artist or museum. The app keeps track of which entries you have seen and you can store your favourites in a separate list.
As an art lover I really enjoy using this app. During quick breaks it provides for interesting reading. I have discovered some interesting pieces and one artist in particular who I had never heard of before: Henri de Toulouse-Lautrec.
The only point of criticism I have is that there are no suggestions for further reading. It would be very convenient to be pointed in the right direction to find more about the artworks that are discussed.
The app is available on Android and iOS.
Price: Free (with ads that are non-intrusive); 5.99 USD or EUR for premium.
